Strawbies

I just wanted to make sure that in the future I never forget Baron's cute way of calling every red kind of berry a strawbie. He LOVES all fruit. Watermelon especially, and of course, strawberries. He will come up to me and ask in his cute little voice for some strawbies first thing in the morning. It is so darn cute. I will mourn the day he stops calling them that.

Frozen Yogurt Junkies

If you know my mom, you know she is OBSESSED with frozen yogurt. She will even go as far as claiming it is actually good for you and can be used in some instances to cure certain medical problems. So, naturally, I also have a great love for frozen yogurt. The only problem is that there are not really any frozen yogurt stores in Oregon.... until now that is. We discovered a month or so ago a brand new place called Peach Wave not too far from our place! It's one just like those Yogurtland places... lots of different flavors and toppings, you fill up your own cup and pay by the ounce. I LOVE it! They always have amazing flavors, and tons of fresh berries of course since it is berry season and we live in Oregon, to put on top. We have been like 7 times already... no joke.

The other day, we were out running some errands. After getting back after a bunch of stops I asked the boys if we should go home and eat some lunch.

Jackson replied, "ummm.... I think we should go get some frozen yogurt!"

Grammie would be proud :)

"I have a headache"

Every now and then I get a really bad headache that just will not go away. A trick my mom taught me for these special kind of headaches was to drink a caffeinated drink along with 4 advil. I therefore will buy a soda every now and then when that special headache comes on. Jackson always asks me if he can have some of my "juice" as he calls it. But I always tell him sorry, but no, because it is a special drink just for mommy because she has a really bad headache.

A week or so ago, I had John stop at the store on the way home so I could run in and get a cherry pepsi. John of course didn't want to be left out and asked for a vanilla coke. When I got back into the truck with 2 sodas, one for me and the other for John, Jackson asked, "Where's my drink?"

To which I replied, "Sorry bud, I didn't get you one because you don't need any soda. It's not good for you."

Jackson's response, "But I just have a headache too, so I need some of that kind of juice!"

He is getting too smart for us.

For the Love of Church

It took Jackson about 4 months to like nursery and to go without crying. It took Baron about one time of 30 second crying before he realized the fun that nursery is. It also helps that they give good snacks... as soon as he learned that, he was totally into it. This past Monday, after a great day at church the day before, he said to me while we were eating breakfast, "Mommy, wanna go church!" So I asked him, "You want to go back to nursery, huh?". To which he replied, "Uh-huh!"
